Cable Guy, The Dumb.
Caffiene This is kind of like a British "Waiting..." or "Clerks II." Some parts are funnier than others.
Camp Nowhere Classic 90s kid/preteen movie. I fucking love it.
Can't Hardly Wait Under all the clutter is a sweet love story.
Captain Corelli's Mandolin Penelope Cruz.
Carrie The book is better. The movie's pace is horrifically slow.
Casper I had a hardcore crush on Christina Ricci for the longest time after this movie. I'm talking hardcore.
Cast Away Uplifting.
Castle in the Sky I just don't feel right giving a Miyazaki film less than three... Not his best. There are some good moments but it moves kinda slow to a less than satisfying ending.
Catch Me If You CanSolid Leo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks.
Chain Reaction I like Keanu Reeves, I like Rachel Weisz, I like Morgan Freeman, I like theoretical science but damn... something went wrong in the formula and this movie stinks. Janitor from Scrubs gets shot.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Enjoyable, especially seeing the one of the final scenes with all the kids coming out of the factory and their all messed up. I always wanted to see that scene since reading the book.
Chasing Amy Romance, comedy and comics. Not only those three, but honest as well. A perfect movie.
Chicago The dames in this picture are fucking stupid.
Child's Play Interesting story, nice ending.
Child's Play 2 1/2 Great sequal, upped everything that was good about the first and lost all the bad.
Child's Play 3 Dumb.
Chinatown It's okay...
Chocolat This chick is hot and selling sexual chocolate to all the stuck up religious people in the town. Then Doc Ock masturbates with all this chocolate in her store window and her store saves the town.
Christmas Story, A Worth turning on when you're going over your Christmas morning haul.
Christmas with the Kranks Tim Allen's funny, but there are no cool characters in this movie. Everyone is an asshole except the one crazy looking guy who is supposed to be Santa or some shit.
Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of the books. I've never made it too far into any of them, only ever finishing The Magician's Nephew and LWW. I feel the weakness of the movie is one inherent in the book. If my memory serves, this movie turned out to be a very faithful adaptation. The thing that bugs me the whole time is that these are just kids. As a kid, I'd probably buy it but as a young adult, I can't believe that Peter could best the wolf without ever using a sword in his life, or that Susan can learn to shoot so quickly. And, Santa- I mean, Father Christmas gives the youngest girl a friggin' dagger. "I hope you won't have to use this." Oh, and she turns out to be a perfect shot. Obsurd. Another thing, it's ridiculous to place the four of them in charge of this whole army. They show up and Jesus- I mean Aslan just hands the entire army over to Peter and they follow him blindly. I really liked Edmund's character, he seemed the most realistic of any of them. I think it's because he had flaws, which every other character in the movie seemed to be free of. I think fantasy movies with magic and mysteries are great, but when the entire plot is balancing on it, it loses any kind of relativity. The story starts out with the bomb raids and the four children escaping them. Then, ten minutes later, the stories focus turns from the children to Narnia and they're bound to it all of a sudden by this prophecy. Without question, they decide to risk their lives for a place they've never heard of... I kind of hate myself for being so cynical. I like to think of myself as still very childlike in my older age but this story is just too hard to believe and get fully involved in. The cast is great, though. The kids are all very likable and they found a PERFECT White Witch. The special effects aren't shabby. If you're willing to suspend disbelief, you'll find this movie well worth the three hours of your time.
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, The Better than the first. I'd never read this book so it was nice in that regard. Everything was fresh and I didn't have any expectations. A great sequel. Hope for more.
Cinderella Disney movie.
Class I'm a fan of the brat pack and Andrew McCarthy and Rob Lowe give some terrific performances.
Clerks Solid. Awesome dialogue. Kevin Smith, either you love him or hate him.
Clerks II The rare "good sequal." The story here is what really did it for me. The dick jokes are there as nice background noise but the characters and conflict and dialogue are all A+. My new second favorite Kevin Smith movie right after "Chasing Amy."
Click I LOVED this movie. Beginning to end. I laughed and I cried, seriously. There's also a great message in with all that. Without a doubt, Sandler's best performance.
Cliffhanger Stallon fights people on a cliff or something... meh.
Clockwork Orange, A Surprisingly fresh and different than anything I'd ever seen before, and this movie was made in the 70s. It starts off so weird, you're trying to get your bearings the whole time and it take you in so many different directions, you have no idea what's going to happen next and in this world, anything could happen so it made for a great experience. More fight scenes should be like the gang fight near the beginning. A fight happens and the film makers are there to film it. A classic that should not be missed.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind I HATE this movie. It's so fucking stupid. No point to anything. This guy shits on his family and I'm supposed to care about him or these weak fucking aliens? No.
Closer Natalie Portman, Jude Law and Clive Owens, three of today's most promising actors.
Cloverfield My motivation for going was not the hype. Yes, I was interested in what the monster looked like but mainly, the names J.J. Abrahms and Matt Reeves attracted me. I am a huge Felicity fan, the other project these two masterminded. I'm interested in the kind of movie they wanted to make here, essentially a love story set against a monster movie. By the time the monster showed up, I didn't care about it at all. It was honestly an annoying detractor from the unfolding story going on. They do a great job of making you care about the characters in the beginning. Emotional involement is important and the way this movie was made, the home-movie style, is so damn immersive. It nearly crosses the line between movie and experience, like some sort of carnival ride. I was literally on the edge of my seat and breathing heavily throughout most of the movie. Will it be so effective at my home on my couch on a little 20in screen? I'm not sure... Still, a movie not to be missed. Don't buy into the hype and anti-hype. See it with no preconcieved notions and make up your own mind.
Clue: The Movie I love it. This movie is great.
Cocoon Even at 25 years, the fear of old age has me by the balls. This movie makes me hope that aliens will come and save me in the nick of time, too. Hah, just a great feel great movie about what it means to grow old.
Cocoon 2 Not as good as the Cocoon but worth watching if you enjoyed the first one.
Collateral Pretty solid, interesting movie about a hitman and how he makes this taxi driver drive him around to all his hits. Jamie Foxx's character is what really makes this movie.
Cold Mountain Jude Law and Nicole Kidman are great. Natalie Portman's in this, too.
Comic Books Villians Neat comic book centered movie. It has the Road Trip ball-licking dog guy.
Coming to America An okay comedy with Eddie Murphy.
Conan the Barbarian Solid barbarian action destroy sex movie.
Conan the Destroyer Rated PG. That was a dumb fucking move.
Coneheads Chris Farley's in it. The mom freaks me the fuck out.
Constantine Solid movie. Shia LeBeouf and Keanu Reeves are bad asses.
Cool Runnings In my opinion, it has stood the test of time. Some of John Candy's best stuff.
Corpse Bride A fun, brilliantly animated movie that in no way lives up to The Nightmare Before Christmas, but great all the same.
Covenant, The I went into this movie thinking "Boy, I just hope this movie doesn't suck..." I didn't. Obviously inspired by The Lost Boys and The Craft, the movie isn't half bad. The witch power backstory is kinda neat, the rules and that. The cast are all pretty boys and girls. The fight scenes are nicely done. I'm hoping for a sequel.
Crash An honest, hard-hitting look at race and class issues. Lots of great moments and the cast is solid.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon Only saw it once and it was okay... Maybe next time I see it I'll like it more now that I'm a big fan of Naruto, therefore ninjas.
