Face/Off Meh.
Faculty, The A great teen/horror movie.
Fahrenheit 9/11 Meh... Whatev...
Falling Down Great movie about a guy who's been shit on and doesn't fucking care anymore.
Fanboys A hilarious flick about some dudes trying to ensure their friend sees Star Wars Episode 1 before he dies. Each character grows up a bit, too. There's a feel good thread amongst the dick and fart and nerd jokes that makes this superior to say "Road Trip."
Fantasia Uhm... Some music and shit.
Fantastic Four Worth watching once to see the special effects. Julian McMahon sucks ass as Dr. Doom the businessman. Stupid.
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer Better than the first. Silver Surfer is perfect. Galactus is a huge disappointment. I like how it isn't 3 hours long.
Far and Away A once watcher if you like Tom Cruise or Nicole Kidman.
Fast and the Furious, The New score: Old score: Before, I said "this movie's fucking stupid." After watching it again, I feel I was wrong. Solid action, cast and style. A pretty fun ride and the characters are over the top yet real.
Fast Food Nation This movie can't decide whether it wants to be a documentary or a slice of life drama. The people probably wanted to make a documentary but really couldn't because they would be forbidden any footage behind the scenes of the slaughterhouses, etc. Maybe they just didn't want to do any of that work and just made up a script. I dunno. It's interesting. It shows you stuff about fast food, from it's origins as a cow all the way to the high school kids that run the stores and the guy that makes up the ads, etc. Interesting and entertaining. Check it out.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High A great teen coming of age comedy/drama. The only time Judge Reinhold will be cool.
Fearless Kind of an interesting movie...
Ferngully: The Last Rainforest Tim Curry and Robin Williams make this cartoon.
Ferris Buller's Day Off Why don't I own this movie?! It's one of the best teen movies ever.
Field of Dreams Kind of magical... If you like baseball.
50 First Dates Funny and interesting. Adam Sandler does it again.
Fight Club Seriously sweet. Action, internal conflict, philosophy... Easy to watch over and over.
Final Destination Blah... Dumb ending. No, dumb movie all together.
Final Destination 2 This movie is actually terrible. What the fuck is it trying to say? That we don't have control of our lives or that we do? Or that just the main character has control over his/her own life... Man, if that logic is true, I hope I'm the main character in the story of my life. Seriously though, the only thing remarkable about this movie is the death scenes. Some pretty creative unfoldings of events that will have you guessing and second guessing on how the character actually inevitably dies.
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within Pure garbage. A disgrace to the Final Fantasy name. Seriously, they must have thought "How can we make this movie as different as possible from every game yet still call it Final Fantasy?" Stupid! Man, get's me so mad I payed money to see it. I think back and I'm still like "I wish they'd make a Final Fantasy movie. Oh, wait... They did and it really really blew."
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children This is exactly what I wanted to see when I walked into The Spirits Within five or six years ago. I'm so used to movies being "Okay..." but this one met my expectations and then exceeded them fully. Beautiful animation, mind blowing action, based on Final Fantasy VII, arguably the best in the series... It has it all. I will admit, there's an ample amount of nostalgia that factors into the high score I've given it but it's still enjoyable to everyone in my opinion.
Finding Nemo Wow, this movie surprised the hell out of me how good it was. I mean, Disney and Pixar movies, etc, are normally decent and all but honestly, there were moments in this movie where I was near tears on how emotional it was. Like, when Nemo finds out his father has been searching the whole ocean for him... Yeah... Great animation, memorable characters, terrific voice cast, Willem Defoe was a huge and welcomed surprise. Check it out with your little cousin or something, or watch it alone. It's that good.
Finding Neverland Moving. Freddie Highmore and Johnny Depp have great chemistry and the story is genuinely magical.
Fire and Ice Sexy cartoon. Orc violence.
Fisher King, The Kind of an interesting movie... Robin Williams is good.
First Blood Saw it for the first time recently and was really impressed. Great story, cast, setting. Just a good old fasion movie.
Flatliners Kind of a cool idea that goes in a really shitty direction.
Fletch Funny stuff.
Flintstones, The I really like John Goodman. He's terrific in this movie. Also, Halle Berry's best role. The only time she's ever been tolerable.
Flubber Meh.
Fly, The (remake) Kind of interesting and disgusting at the same time.
Fog, The I rented this movie because I miss Maggie Grace. She's one of the hottest women on the planet, I think. Anyway, this movie was so damn boring I couldn't get past the first twenty minutes... Maybe you can. If you do, tell me if it gets better. Sorry, Maggie.
Footloose A great teen movie about rock and roll and fighting for what's totally rad.
Forever Young Meh... The premise probably sounded better on paper then when translated to the screen.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall I want to give this movie a perfect score but I don't feel I've seen it enough times yet. God, I love it. Jason Segel is a genius. I died laughing so many times during this movie. The story is one I think all people can relate to. Unrequited love, albeit a bit differently portrayed, which is good. The girls are talented and gorgeous. Many of the Apatow crew make cameos. Another great comedy from this group, but a stand-out performance for Segel. I'm glad he's got the spotlight for once, as I loved him in Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared.
Forrest Gump Solid, entertaining, fun and sad.
Fountain, The A perfect movie in every way. Story, pacing, casting, acting, visuals, audio, theme, imagery... I fell immediately in love with it.
1408 I love John Cusack and I love Stephen King. This movie is pretty good, based on those factors. Unfortunately, in trying to stretch a fourty-page short story into two hours of screen time, a bit of the magic is lost. About the time the room snows over, that's when it lost me to a degree. Cold is not scary, at least in the traditional sense. Yeah, I've read that Jack London short story. The flood from the painting is just kinda dumb. The more subtle, simple camera-tricky type stuff is a lot more scary to me. The film makers were probably like "Stephen King. John Cusack. Samual L. Jackson. Those are some big fucking names. What do we do with all this money? Oh, let's do a couple of really over the top, expensive scenes. That will eat up the rest of the budget!" It should have upped the ante with more psychological shit like with his daughter. In the short story, his brother is important, why isn't he in there somewhere? It picks up the pieces when Ensline finds out he isn't out yet, though. Overall, a great rendition of the classic haunted hotel room archtype.
40-Year-Old Virgin, The High-larious! The cast is awesome, everyone has their moments and own sense of humor and they blend perfectly. The story has never been done before, to my knowledge and it's done very well. Lots of belly laughs as well as... touching moments. It has a solid factor of humanity and that's what makes the rest so enjoyable.
Fox and the Hound, The A great Disney movie.
Freddy Got Fingered Tom Green. Unique. I like his more subtle moments and there are a few in this movie.
Freddy Vs. Jason Cool.
Free Willy I remember liking this as a kid but I think now I want to kick that kid's ass for some reason.
Frequency Interesting premise, nicely executed, nicely casted.
Friday Meh, I'm not urban enough to really appreciate this movie's finer points.
Friday the 13th A classic in horror. A once watcher you might watch over and over again for camp value and possibly nostalgia.
Frighteners, The Fun and cool. Not quite on par with Ghostbusters or Beetlejuice but made in the same spirit. Haha, spirit... I think that might be considered a pun.
From Dusk Till Dawn Vampires and tits.
From Hell Yikes, a little too dark for my tastes. I can't recall one moment of comic relief or anything. Pure suspense and that takes its toll.
Fugitive, The Pretty good movie with some pretty cool characters. Gets a little thick when they start talking about this corporation and that corporation and I'm like... blood samples or something, what? But, good solid flick. Janitor from Scrubs gets shot.
Full Metal Jacket The first half the movie's about a five, the rest is a two... Just watch the first half and then get disappointed when you find out the main character is actually that one lame, pussy, boring, not-funny guy retardedly named Joker and not the awesome fat guy.
