Galaxy Quest Solid sci-fi/comedy. Terrific cast and great laughs.
Game 6 I was a huge Michael Keaton fan when I was younger. Batman, Beetlejuice, Night Shift, etc etc. He's a genius. I'm glad to see him back making movies.
Gamerz Hah, a movie about some people that play Dungeons and Dragons. It follows this guy who is their Dungeon Master and he falls in love with one of his players. But then a guy that bullies him bullies his way into the campaign and starts going after the girl, too. It's really good and not all about games. Funny and... Scottish, I think. There are some thick ass accents to get through but it's still really watchable.
Garden State This story appeals to me so much. I feel like I can relate to everything in it, there's a quality of reality to it that most movies miss. The soundtrack is perfect and the cast is blazing. Natalie Portman at her best, as well. A perfect movie.
Gattaca Nice story, nice cast.
Gerry Unlike any other film I've seen. Deliberately paced very slowly. It sort of feels like you are there with them, as an onlooker to this situation and not watching a movie intended to entertain. In that way, it's pretty fresh. As the only two characters in the film, Damon and Affleck hold the screen well. I'm sure it can be interpreted in many ways but just the simple experience of it was powerful.
Get Smart Steve Carell is funny as shit. I love him when he's not so over the top. Anne Hatheway is stunningly beautiful. Great eye candy between jokes. Just a fun comedy. A must see for Steve Carell fans, obviously.
Ghost I'm a sucker for this type of shit.
Ghostbusters Perfect blend of comedy and awesome special effects, as well as huge amounts of nostalgia. I'd watch this movie every fucking day when I was a kid and I still watch it at least once a year. I love Ghostbusters.
Ghostbusters II Yes, the sequal is just as good as the first in my opinion. If I could give it something higher than a perfect score, I would because it's better than the first but the first was already perfect so... Yeah... Update: 12/21/14 Okay, the original is superior. But, in the nostalgia department, this one IS just as good, to ME. I remember seeing it on my fifth birthday, wearing my brand new GB shoes with Stay-Puft on them, then for X-Mas, getting a screaming Ray figure with a red screen image search thing... Well, I guess we're gonna have to take control... Yeah...
Ghost Rider This feels like a few different movies cut into one. One movie is about a quirky motorcyclist falling in love with a reporter, one is about a demon motorcyclist riding around making fire and killing very bad actors with crappy special effects and one is a western legend with the guy from Tombstone. Seperately, these could have been good but together, they don't feel great. Nicolas Cage was pretty cool as Johnny Blaze. The girl has REALLY nice cleavage. Chains and flames are cool. Blackheart was GAY! The villians suck balls in this movie. I wished they would have taken time to make them look cool. The heroes are nearly nothing without the villians and that's what this movie does wrong. These creepy no-name guys are just speed bumps. So, I liked about half of this movie a lot, the other half was really lame. Check it out if you like comic movies or great, great tits.
Ghost Rider (again, three months later, just for the fuck of it) AKA, Nicolas Cage the Movie. Admittedly, I've never read or been a big fan of Ghost Rider but come on! What's going on in this movie? The chick's got a great rack, Nicolas Cage is cool as being Nicolas Cage but not Ghost Rider... What else is there to say? Oh yeah, the villian, AKA Emobitchgaylamecockfaggothretardeyeshadowamericanbeautyfuck-Man, is a piece of shit. The biggest piece of shit excuse for a super hero movie villian since Walker, the horse-riding douche in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. ALL the villians suck in this movie! At least Ghost Rider looks cool.
Gift, The Interesting plot. Also, Katie Holmes' breasts are nice.
Gingerdead Man, The Terrible. The effects weren't even cool, like stop motion or anything... That would have been cool. This guy is like a foam-rubber hand puppet and it leaves me wondering if this look was intentional or the budget for creating him really only was $10.
Girl Next Door, The I was really surprised at how well written this movie is. Kept me entertained the whole way through and didn't go for a lot of really cheap laughs that it could have.
Gladiator Meh...
Glory Meh...
Go I can't remember figuring out what the hell this movies' about...
Godfather, The Solid movie.
Godfather: Part II, The Solid sequal.
Godfather: Part III, The Watchable sequal.
Godzilla (American) Starts out nicely but ends really really poorly. A waste of time...
GoldenEye Play the N64 game instead.
Good Will Hunting Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are, in my opinion, very talented guys and this movie of theirs is terrific. Great performances by both and Robin Williams as well.
Goonies, The Nostalgia City! I could watch this all day long. What kid doesn't at least pretend to go looking for pirate treasure? In one word, this movie is fun.
Gothika Stupid shit. Halle Berry is a dumb bitch.
Grandma's Boy An Adam Sandler movie without Adam Sandler (not even a cameo) but there's a lot of video game humor. The DDR dance off was sweet. Funny if you're a fan of Adam Sandler movies or video games.
Grand Theft Parsons A decent ride but Christina Applegate sucks. I know her character is supposed to be a bitch but I think she's one of those actresses that are really bitches in real life. Other than her, some decent moments. Johnny Knoxville is surprisingly competent. I wish him luck in his future acting endeviours.
Grease Campy and nostalgic. Memerable songs and charismatic characters. Good stuff.
Great Expectations Read the book, this modern remake is kinda shitty.
Green Mile, The Kinda good... The book is most likely a lot better.
Gremlins The concept of gremlins, or Mogwai, is an untapped one. I think it'd be cool to find out their origin and shit.
Gremlins 2: The New Batch Better because of all the cool different versions of gremlins.
Grilled Kevin James and Ray Ramano. I love their stand-up and seeing them together is sweet. They play off each other nicely.
Gross Point Blank John Cusack and a story that takes a while to get into but pays off near the middle. Also, there's a fight scene, pretty simple but it's one of the best I've ever seen. It felt REAL, you know? When he fights the one guy near the lockers. I sat back and said "Whoa..." because on some level it hit me beyond all these other action movies where you know they are staged and shit.
Groundhog Day I love this movie. Bill Murray at his best and just the philosophical shit that's dealt with and the questions it poses to you like what if it happened to you? What would you do?
Gulliver's Travels Meh, entertaining... Sort of...
Guy Thing, A A nice little romantic comedy with Jason Lee and one hot chick and one dumb bitch. Cameron Diaz is the dumb bitch, by the way...
