I

I Am Legend Another great zombie movie, looking at it from another fresh angle (I realize this is based on a book that's over 50 years old). To me, it's pretty fresh in movie terms. This guy has the entire island of New York to himself. Pretty cool. Also, there are zombies that come out at night. Honestly, it was so much more interesting finding out how he survives day to day in the city than what happens later. I wish there would have been an inner monologue voice over throughout the movie to get a bit more intimate with what the character is thinking and going through. Still, a great movie. Will Smith never fails to entertain. I HEART Huckabees A movie about philosophy and love and the universe. It's got Jude Law in it, too.
Identity A "twist-end" movie. John Cusack.
Idiocracy I really like the concept and think it's genius. The beginning with the family trees and stuff is great. The future is just too dumb and maybe that's the point but I think it'd be funnier if it were smarter in portraying the dumb? Does that make sense? A bit more satirized and less zany.
Idle Hands Meh...
I Know What You Did Last Summer Meh...
I Love You, Man Another great Apatow crew movie. Lots of laughs.
In A Dark Place Bizarre. Leelee Sobieski is a knock-out. Love her fucking nose. But yeah... the movie... uhm... It's just weird. It's based off "The Turn of the Screw," a novel from 1898. It's translated to modern times and watching it, I thought it was an original concept, so I guess that says something positive about the adaptation. This movie just takes you to a weird place. A... dark place. Check it out if you like ghost stories or Leelee Sobieski. Or great cleavage but no nipple shots.
Incredible Hulk, The New Hulk movie good. Marvel's treatment of Edward Nortan bad. Hopefully doesn't botch Avengers movie.
Incredibles, The Too bad there are no original ideas whatsoever found within the movie... A rip off of Fantastic Four and Watchmen, not to mention every other super-team comic ever printed. Watchable though...
Independence Day Great alien invasion movie. Great cast.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull I liked it.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade Adventure! poorly paced.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom Adventure! poorly paced.
In Good Company Topher Grace, Dennis Quaid.
Innerspace Dennis Quaid, Martin Short.
Inspector Gadget Pure shit.
Instinct Meh... Based on a great book, Ishmael by Daniel Quinn.
Interview with the Vampire Wow, an awesome vampire movie.
In the Army Now Pauly Shore comedy. Andy Dick's in it, too... If you like that sort of thing.
In the Bedroom I HATED the direction this movie goes in... Stupid shit.
In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale Man, oh man... These two stars are just pity points for the cast. The cast seems great on paper. Each was in several things I've enjoyed in the past. Leelee Sobieski is damn hot. I've always enjoyed Mathew Lillard and if I had to give a prize for who belongs in this movie the most, it's him. I actually believe his character exists in the world presented. The others, no fucking way. The cast, while all having their own merits, just don't belong in a fantasy movie. Eh, John Rhys-Davies is pretty good but the connection with Gimli is too distracting. It would be like Jaleel White playing a nerdy neighbor who wasn't Urkel. I mean, it's still Urkel. Jason Statham would get the prize for who belongs in this movie the least, and he's the main character! He is just wrong as the sole hero. A guard for the real main hero, okay. Why the fuck does the little boy die? Seriously? Is that necessary? It would be a better thematic choice if the wife died. Or the wife and the son. The idea that the child dies and the wife lives is just... Wrong. Bad story telling. Bad directing. I've got a feeling that a better director and crew, one that perhaps cared about the source material (or GENRE for that matter) would have done a lot better. It is so obvious what this really is, a cash in on the big names attached, a cash in on the fantasy movie made popular by Lord of the Rings and a cash in on gamers hoping for a movie faithful to the Dungeon Siege game. It feels just like Eragon with a blander plot and less money, although I think I'd rather watch this than Eragon, amazingly.
Iron Giant, The Solid animated story about a sweet looking robot.
Iron Man I'm going all out and saying this is my favorite super hero movie ever. It's a crazy thing to say, and I'm not even that big an Iron Man fan but damn... I loved this movie! It's so damn cool. Tony Stark is the fucking man. The supporting cast is amazing. Jeff Bridges is amazing. Robert Downey Jr. was born to play Tony Stark. Gwenith Paltrow is cute. Leslie Bibb is cute. Iron Man is fucking hot!!! I'm now an Iron Man fanboy.
I Spy Another comedy that falls short of its potential.
It's a Wonderful Life Charming old Christmas movie. Had never seen it until recently and it was surprisingly watchable. A feel-good movie that I will probably make a point to see every winter now.
