Labyrinth One of the most nostalgia-inducing movies ever for me. The story is magical and the soundtrack is terrific. For me, it's near perfect but if you never saw it as a kid, you may disagree.
Ladies Man, The The SNL sketches are funnier.
Lake House, The Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock have great chemistry and save this movie. The beginning is kind of muddled but once it gets going it tells a pretty cool story, lots of Chrono Trigger-esque playing with time. It's a time travel movie that doesn't involve people traveling through time but.... love. :)
Land Before Time, The Decent cartoon. Dinosaurs!
Land of the Dead A decent fourth installment in George Ramero's zombie series. The special effects and make-up are amped up into the new millenia and there are still some lessons to be learned about humanity.
Larger Than Life Bill Murray and an elephant or something...
Last Kiss, The I liked this movie. The cast are all likable and the stories are interesting. It looks at different stages of relationships and different sides of dissastisfaction. There is a fight scene that I was just like "Whoa, man... They are really fucking fighting." It felt real and kinda blew me away.
Last Samurai, The Great movie about samurais. Great action, visuals.
Last Starfighter, The An okay 80s sci-fi movie about a kid who plays this arcade game that's actually a test for space fighting prowess. Neat idea. I'd go see a remake of this. A piss poor Ender's Game.
Lawnmower Man, The Interesting concept.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Neat concept, but the visual style is lacking in my opinion.
League of Their Own, A Chicks and baseball... I remember liking this movie for some reason but I can't remember it now.
Legend Nice visuals.
Leprechaun Crappy horror movie.
Lethal Weapon Solid buddy cop movie.
Lethal Weapon 2 Solid buddy cop movie.
Lethal Weapon 3 Solid buddy cop movie.
Lethal Weapon 4 Solid buddy cop movie.
Let's Go To Prison Gob Bluth, I mean Will Arnett is great! I had doubts but it's just a decent prison comedy with enough twists and laughs to set itself apart a bit. I was never like "This is whats gonna happen" and then it did, which is what you normally expect in this type of movie. Plus, yeah... it's Gob Bluth minus the magic... which on second thought... might not be worth it to you... but yeah, check it out if you're a fan of prison comedies or Will Arnett or Dax.
Liar Liar This movie reminds me of my father because we watched it a lot at his house after the divorce. It's a nice story and has a nice amount of laughs/charm.
Life As A House Decent movie about life and fathers and sons. Nicely casted.
Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Man, this movie should have been off the hinges funny but... it wasn't...
Lilo and Stitch Solid Disney cartoon.
Lion King, The Great Disney cartoon, though a rip-off of Kimba The White Lion.
Lion King 2: Simba's Pride, The Meh... Not as good as the first by far.
Little Mermaid, The Disney movie.
Little Monsters Fun. Fred Savage and Howie Mandell. I was never scared of anything being under my bed until this movie, yet the prospect of being trapped in monster land and turning into a monster TERRIFIED me.
Little Nicky Adam Sandler...
Little Rascals, The Cute, cute movie starring a bunch of charming little kids. Funny stuff.
Little Shop of Horrors Meh... Neat monster. Rick Moranis and Steve Martin are in it... For some reason, I always associated it with Tremors.
Lock Up A cool prison movie starring Stallone. Cool cast of characters featuring that solid underdog story.
Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, The I have no words for this movie. I don't think any are needed.
Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, The The series gets better with each installment.
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, The The cast, the visuals, the story... An instant classic that will be with us forever.
Loser Jason Biggs. Decent great about college and women.
Lost Boys, The Vampires and 80s punk-ass kids. Priceless.
Lost Highway Confusing as hell... It's David Lynch though...
Lost in Translation A nice tale about isolation, desperation... And finding someone special in a place you least expect. Bill Murray is great in it.
Love Actually A bunch of stories about love intertwined in a Christmas setting. Some are better than others, I especially like the Kiera Knightly-liking guy's, the little kid's and the writer's stories. Great British cast and that warm Christmas feeling flows through the whole thing.
Lucky Number Slevin This movie was decent but it's one of those "Let's lead the audience by the nose with a fucking hook and chain" type movies. It spends the first half setting all this shit up. Then the second half explains how everything "really happened"... Then the last minute goes back and shows what "really happened" during a few of those parts! Is this a movie or a magic trick?
