The action is stepping up a notch! Finally, they have broken into the Soul Reaper HQ and are tearing shit up! Action and suspence, can't wait to see what happens next. That's all a really great manga needs.

Yeah, it's picking up after that slight slump! By the end of volume 6, I'm thirstier than ever for this incredible manga! Seems like the focus will finally shift back to Light vs. L which is where it's at!

Whoa, nelly! This is fast becoming my favorite manga. It brings the art, story, humor, philosophy and characters in a big way. All that I just mentioned are top-notch in this book and it keeps you begging for more. Again, I wish these things would come out on a faster basis. Every other month is not enough! Damn!

Don't get me wrong, I still LOVE this book but... It gets repetitive and takes a long time to get to anything substantial and when it does, it's like "Maybe this girl is the girl from Keitaro's past. Maybe not..." Then, next week it's like "Of course it's maybe this other girl. Maybe... Probably, when you look at it this way." And then it's like "Let's spend a week with a boring Motoko storyline!" or "Keitaro gets a foot to the face again!" Again, this is great but I wish there were more weeks with plot movement. And, the end of volume 7 really is huge on plot so I can't complain much. I'm at the halfway point and once it's over, I'm probably gonna wish that there had been more boring Motoko stories...

Again... the story is still soooooo good, but I gotta drop the score a bit because a couple things are bugging me. While I think the plot is moving at a comfortable pace... I am really getting tired of the reaction shots. Seems like a solid 10% of the books are reaction shot of how shocked the onlookers are. For all intents and purposes, these things can just be copy and pasted after something shocking happens and really, that seems like what the author is doing. Does he enjoy drawing the looks of shock and amazement? He must as much as they are in there... Other than that, the stories getting really good. Orochimaru's plan is starting to come together and the pieces are falling into place. The Chunin selection exam is almost done and I'm excited about the final round. And, one more thing... Why does this title come out so sparsely? What's it, once every three or four months? I'm this || close to reading it all online...

Gettin' good, gettin' good. Sanji seems like a pimp and the sword fight between Dracule and Zoro was sweet as hell. Can't wait to see Luffy fight Kriege. And, Nami! I can't (can) believe you fucked your crew over! Good times.
