I feel like I have to take this back a notch. It's not that it hasn't been enjoyable but the transition from L to Near and Mello has been a bumpy one. The whole hostage situation with his sister takes a bit to get into and it's kinda difficult for a small minded guy like me to get past that Mello is supposed to be a guy when he looks like a twelve year old girl... This have picked back up with the third shinigami and Mello's gang. I'm back in the thick of it finally after not having read a volume in nearly a year, and it's almost over! Volume 12 comes out in a month or two so yeah... Four to go, I'm excited.

A lot has been going as of late. Homunculi are dying and eating people. The Elric's father has shown up and it's just recently been flat out said that the leader of the Homunculi is Hoenheim, which is kinda like the Chancellor Palpatine in The Phantom Menace. It's blatently obvious but they put this shroud of secrecy on it where they don't come right out and tell you. Well... they just did, so that's cool. Lots of cool fights. But also, there's all these minor characters that have faces that look the same and it's like... yeah, I read this for the Elrics, Mustang, Lin, Scar, etc. The characters with CHARACTER. Leave the military characters at home, Ms. Arakawa. Still, it's awesome.

Hah, I finally did it. I went to a Naruto fan site and downloaded a bunch of scanlations... I was right at the part where Rock Lee was fighting Gaara and when the volume was over I just said... Fuck it, I'm not waiting three months for the next two rounds of this tournament. I'm gonna go the distance. I read a lot since then. I actually haven't read it in probably 8 months. I left off at the end of volume 19 and Rock Lee is told he'd never fight again. I don't know why I stopped, I guess I just got burnt out on it. I read a volume a night for a week or two. It was sooooo good but other things caught my attention, etc. I'll start it up again soon.

Holy shit, this is the best manga ever. Better than Dragonball, dare I say! It's got me hooked! Completely and utterly, I'm am forever a fan of this. Man... I can't even think of the words. What did it was the fleshing out of Nami. The Arlong story arc was just so damn good. The moment Nami turns to Luffy and asks for help, finally and the four of them march off to kick Arlong's ass... That was when Eiichiro Oda's hand curled itself around my heart and it has yet to let go. I can't stress enough how awesome this story is. And I'm only 1/3 of the way through the story so far! And it's still going strong! Man! Awesome.
